The work of Sixeart mixes psychedelic abstraction with comic book inspired figuration. Sixeart’s work has a childlike innocence that is combined with a almost hallucinogenic sense of second sight. His gestural and painterly works are often large scale although he does also work in sculpture, on canvas and with screen prints. This is his first solo show in Denmark and will feature the international presentation of his book published by ROJO®.

"I think 'La Primavera' its a good title as an excuse to have lots of naughty drawings to show. Let me make this clear. Yes, I made the c.m.o.n.s. for Opel, sorry. I don't have a text about the exhibition. First because i am bad with writing and second because I don't explain my work, well I just explain that I don't explain it. Why I don't explain stands for the concept of not explaining. could be - a) I use it as an excuse to cover up first that I am bad with writing or - b) my work has nothing that has to be explained, or - c) it has something, but I don't want to explain just a small part of it not to mention all the subliminal elements and interpretation variations I don't know of. Whatever, let's say its all together. Hey we should use this as the text for the press!! Then the journalists don't have to write it themselves." - Boris Hoppek.

We Love Asbæk is throwing a book launch and inviting viewers to take a peek in an unique collection of jazz albums and photos from the 50’s to the 70’s, collected by the young Danish collector Anders Andreasen. "Cool Scandinavians" is the first book that shows what the audience saw when they meet the Danish jazz with their eyes and not their ears. With out saying a single sound the 142 album covers portray the period from 1950-1970 and add images to an important period in the Danish jazz history.
Vernissage: Thursday Feb. 21st. 17-20

Death and disaster is the topic of Bad Days. However, Niels Bonde's source of material is as everyday as it gets. His paintings are based on clippings from Danish and international news media. Bonde enlarges the clippings and has them printed on canvas, with fragments of the accompanying article. The beholder is thus confronted with a painting where the actual essence is missing. Niels Bonde has taken the liberty of deleting unwanted persons and events from his works.
